Diana Parkinson has many years experience as a hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, working with a wide range of client problems, relationship issues, bereavement, post-traumatic stress, work related problems, phobias, anxiety, depression, etc.
Most clients are seen for short term therapy, i.e. 10 20 sessions. A small number of clients are receiving outpatient psychiatric treatment, these clients are seen over a longer period. Some clients have alcohol related issues, and to a much lesser extent other drug related problems.
Hypnotherapy has proven to be wonderfully effective in improving ability and performance. Actors, musicians and performers, can benefit from hypnotherapy, as can footballers, golfers, tennis players, and so on. Achieve a natural high while boosting confidence and self-awareness.
Hypnosis produces a very deep relaxation, enabling us to get in touch with our unconscious or sub-conscious mind. When we are relaxed in this way we are completely in control and very aware. We are able to achieve a state of heightened awareness and therefore understanding of how and why we are as we are, then to make any changes to our behaviour we choose to make.
